Progrid Analytics is an energy trading company based in San Francisco, California. We are a small team of technologists and statisticians working on energy trading strategies in the US market. We are looking for a data nerd who can do magic with numbers. This position is remote, based out of India.

About the position:

What you’ll do:
- Design and implement statistical experiments to test and validate hypotheses on various datasets
- Carry out advanced data analyses to understand complex datasets and complex problems
- Communicate design and impact of data science projects and present analytical conclusions in reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with other team members to develop, test, and implement data-driven trading strategies
What you bring: (requirements)
- PhD or Masters in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or related field OR Relevant work experience in trading, quantitative research and modelling
- Deep understanding of statistical modelling
- Strong coding skills and fluency with the numerical and statistical libraries (Python or Matlab)
- Experience applying statistical analysis to small and large datasets
- Experience working in a Linux environment
- Demonstrated ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and
- concisely both verbally and in writing
