As Senior Manager of Software Development, you will collaborate with smart engineers to deliver innovative, exciting and impacting conversational multi modal experiences by way of a Copilot SDK to be consumed by all Oracle Applications to leverage LLM backed Generative AI capabilities. You will own and lead application architecture, design and implementation strategy, working with our product team and customers to understand their vision and requirements. You will be adequately equipped and provided all freedom to operate with the latest technology stacks - to make the right and appropriate architectural and implementation choices. You will partner closely with our engineering, research, UX, field & marketing to build a product that customers need and love.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and engaged Senior Manager of Software Development to lead the CDA App engineering team. 

Job Responsibilities 

· Manage a team of engineers who work on the core platform functionality. 

· Work with users of the platform to identify new opportunities. 

· Coordinate the long-term planning and prioritization of feature development for CDA. 

· Monitor and manage engineering deliverables. 

· Foster team collaboration and communication, both in the team and with other teams. 

· Recruiting and hiring of engineering personnel. 

As a director of the software engineering division you will assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives, regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met and Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture. 

Preferred Qualifications 

· . or equivalent degree in Computer Science. 

· 10+ years of professional experience in the industry. 

· 3+ years experience managing a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc. 

· Strong background in Java enterprise development including Microservice architecture. 

· Strong background in Database development including schema design, patching, high availability, and disaster recovery of database systems. 

· Experience with large-scale deployments and use of the Java SE platform.

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. 
As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture. 
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
