Job DescriptionThe Role:Design, implement, configure, administer, maintain and support an array of RDBMS in production, test and development environment that serve OLTP and Data Warehouse applications. The candidate of this position will also work on developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of corporate databases. Will provide guidance and lead complex projects regarding database infrastructure and management.Your Focus:Architect and implement enterprise database systems, including the support of advanced configurations such as clustering and replicationEnforce the company’s database policies and proceduresMaintain enterprise and database servers in production, test and development environmentsMonitor database performance and tune database management system as necessaryWork closely with system administrators during software installation and upgradesEnsure availability of databases in accordance with service level agreementsCorrect problems in databases promptly and accuratelyReview, validate, and deploy database update during applications rollout to production environmentOffer assistance to developers in tuning database queries under developmentSupport developers when they need to troubleshoot application issues that might be related to database backendLead projects in regarding database infrastructure changes and upgradesYou should also bring the following:BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field5+ years of devoted experience with managing, configuring and maintaining various RDBMS, MySQL, Teradata or Redshift preferred.Extensive experience and knowledge of query performance tuning, backup restore, permission architecture and disaster recovery procedures.Proven experience with complex database systems migration, consolidation, and integrationFamiliarity with data warehousing methodologies and technologiesSkilled with hands-on SQL programming for extensive querying and data manipulation2+ years of programming experience with Java, Perl, at least 1-year programming experience with PythonAdvanced working knowledge and experience w/ Unix, especially LinuxExcellent analytical skillsAdaptive to a dynamic work environment with strong teamwork abilitiesStrong self-initiative and accountabilityExcellent written and verbal communicationServer hardware and network knowledge a plusProven experience on Postgress management on AWS, Azure and GCP Familiar with AWS, MPP, and Cloud-based Database Technology a plusAvailable to work

between 12:00pm and 9:00pm IST.
