Position OverviewWe are looking for a seasoned Technical Lead with strong experience in React, Django, and a keen interest in LLM-AI to join our growing team. You will lead the design and development of scalable AI products & APIs across the recruiting stack.As a Technical Lead at Recrew.ai, you will lead and work alongside a team of Engineers & ML Engineers. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust Frontend and Backend of a suite of AI products & APIs - supporting our mission to revolutionise recruiting with AI.

Role Overview:As a

Senior Technical Lead

at Recrew.ai, you’ll lead the technical vision and architectural strategy for our platform, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. This role combines hands-on development, team leadership, and strategic planning. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, design, and data teams, owning the technical roadmap and guiding a team of engineers to deliver impactful AI features & APIs.

Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership : Define, guide, and execute the technical strategy for the Recrew.ai platform, making key architectural decisions and overseeing project execution.Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and growth.Hands-on Development : Design and develop complex features, setting coding standards and best practices for React on the frontend and Django on the backend.Code Review & Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough code reviews and implement quality assurance processes, ensuring clean, efficient, and secure code across the platform.Architectural Planning : Collaborate on and oversee system architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and robustness, especially as we scale our AI-powered recruitment platform.Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication : Work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Technical Roadmap : Develop and maintain a technical roadmap aligned with business goals, planning for future enhancements, scalability, and integration of emerging technologies.Optimisation & Scalability : Continuously optimise frontend and backend code for performance and scalability, ensuring a seamless user experience.Technical Innovation : Keep up with industry trends and innovations, proactively suggesting improvements to our technology stack and development processes.

Required Qualifications:Experience : 6+ years of full-stack development experience with a strong background in

React

and

Django , including 2+ years in a technical lead or similar leadership role.Frontend Expertise :Advanced proficiency in

React

with experience in Redux, React Hooks, component libraries, and responsive design principles.Strong knowledge of

JavaScript/TypeScript ,

HTML5 , and

CSS3 .Backend Expertise :Extensive experience with

Django

and

Django Ninja

for API development.Proficiency in designing and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs, with a focus on security and performance.Database Knowledge : Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.Testing & CI/CD : Familiarity with test-driven development, automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Pytest), and CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployment.Version Control & Collaboration : Proficient with

Git

and version control best practices, including experience with collaborative development tools like GitHub or GitLab.Team Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.Communication & Problem Solving : Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience in building & shipping AI/ML/LLM ApplicationsExperience with DevOps & LLM Ops on

Google CloudFamiliarity with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of AI and machine learning frameworks relevant to recruitment or HR tech.Experience working in Agile development environments, specifically with Scrum or Kanban.
