Role Description
This is a contract role for 2-3 months as a Senior Technical Consultan t located in Muscat, Oman. As a Senior Lab Chemist at Global Group Oman, you will be responsible for developing new methods and parameters for various food products like Chips, Biscuits, Sauces, etc.
Role- Senior Technical Consultant (Food Testing)
Location- Muscat, Oman
Experience required- 20-25 years
Key Responsibilities
Develop methods for various food products as per GSO Standards in LCMS and GCMS instruments.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food testing and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory equipment and food testing procedures.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior chemists and lab technicians.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing food safety and quality assurance projects.
Maintain detailed records of all lab activities, experiments, and results related to food testing.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
• 20-25 years of experience working in a third party food testing laboratory, with significant expertise in analytical chemistry and food safety.
• Proven experience in lab management and overseeing complex food analyses.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, techniques, and safety protocols specific to food testing.
• Willingness to relocate to Oman for the duration of the contract.
