The role involves leading HVAC design, review, and advisory services for power projects, large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, client-facing skills, and experience in coordinating with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams.Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership:Prepare and validate HVAC design criteria, calculations, P&ID, BOQ, HVAC Layouts, specifications, and performance requirements.Support feasibility studies, concept design, and optimization for energy efficiency and sustainability.Design Review & Advisory:Review HVAC system designs submitted by EPC contractors for compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.Provide technical recommendations and ensure alignment with client requirements and international best practices.Project Coordination:Act as the primary HVAC technical interface between the client, EPC contractors, and internal teams.Participate in design review meetings, clarify technical queries, and resolve design conflicts.Quality & Compliance:Ensure adherence to ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, NFPA, NBC and other relevant standards.Client Engagement:Provide expert advice to clients on HVAC solutions, system reliability, and lifecycle cost optimization.Assist in bid evaluation and vendor selection for HVAC equipment.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC design and consulting for industrial/commercial projects.Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, VRF, AHUs, ventilation systems, and energy-efficient solutions.Proficiency in HVAC design tools (CHVAC Elite, AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with BIM workflows.Experience in reviewing EPC designs and managing client interfaces.Site team support during execution stageSpecial Attributes:Good communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsGood technical skills to lead a group of engineersSelf-disciplined and demonstrated capability to work in multiple projects as a team member/Project ManagerOur Offer:An interesting and varied job in an international environment.A stable work environment where professional growth and development are stimulated.A decent compensation package.A permanent employment to ensure the roles offered are in accordance with your skills, interests, and career goals.Tractebel welcomes candidates from all backgrounds, and actively promotes Diversity in the workforce.
