Our client is in search of an adept and analytical Data Scientist to join their team located in Toronto. The ideal candidate will harness advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from intricate datasets. This presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, collaborate across diverse teams, and drive the growth and success of our organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and objectives thoroughly.
  • Gather, clean, and preprocess extensive datasets sourced from various channels for analysis.
  • Apply statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning methodologies to unveil patterns, trends, and insights within the data.
  • Develop predictive models, algorithms, and prototypes to address business challenges and streamline processes.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to pinpoint key variables and factors influencing outcomes.
  • Design and execute experiments to validate hypotheses and assess model performance.
  • Interpret and convey findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders through effective visualization, reports, and presentations.
  • Work in tandem with engineers and developers to deploy models into production and seamlessly integrate them into software systems.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields, implementing new methodologies and techniques as deemed appropriate.
  • Contribute to comprehensive documentation, encompassing technical specifications, research papers, and best practices.

Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar capacity, with a proven track record of applying statistical and machine learning techniques to real-world challenges.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and capability to navigate large, complex datasets effectively.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, matplotlib, ggplot) and libraries.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, neural networks).
  • Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, facilitating the translation of technical findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Requirements
• Proficiency in AI tools and their application in development and sales. • Experience in building, delivering, and supporting SaaS products handling large data streams. • Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum management and JIRA. • Proficiency in big data tools such as Spark, Snowflake, or Databricks. • Strong project management skills to keep teams and processes on track.
