Position summary:A Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through rigorous testing and validation processes. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in testing tools and methodologies are essential for this role. QA Engineer should possess experience in software testing and quality assurance practices. Continuous learning and adaptation to new testing technologies are also important in this dynamic field.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:Design and development of test plans for Layer 2 Network protocols MLAG/VPC, Spanning tree, VLAN, IGMP, MLDP, ELPS, ERPS, CFM, Y131Design and develop test plans for Layer3 Networking protocols OSPF, ISIS, BGP, PIM (v4 and v6)Design and develop test plans for MPLS/MPLS VPN, VPLS, VPWS, EVPN, VXLAN, Segment-RoutingDesign and develop automation for tests using automation frameworks such as ROBOT, Ansible, PyATImplement automated protocol as well traffic scale tests using traffic generators such as IXIA, Spirent Test centerImplementation of manual and automated test plans for network.
Basic Qualifications:Education: B.E Graduate/Equivalent in ECE, CSEExperience: 5 + YearsExperience with Python programmingExperience in Automation Frameworks such as:
ROBOT, Ansible, PyATS/Genie,Experience in Traffic Generator tools like IXIA, Spirent Test Center, TREX, Using HLTAPIs of IXIA, Spirent.Should hold working experience in Packet Capture tools such as Wireshark, Tcpdump, Scapy.Experience in Linux Tool Chain like
Bash, sed, awk, grep, iperf as well as Package Management Tools like APT, YUM, DNF.Should have a good understanding of Layer 2 technology.Should have experience in Testing and debugging Network ProtocolsLayer-2: MLAG/VPC, Spanning Tree, VLAN, IGMP, MLDP, ELPS, ERPS, ELPS, ERPS, CFM, Y1731Layer-3: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, PIM (v4 and v6), DHCPMPLS/MPLS VPN, VPLS, VPWS, EVPN, VXLAN, Segment-RoutingTelemetry Protocols: SFLOW, gNMI.knowledge on Network Operating Systems IOS-XE, IOS-XR, NXOS, JUNOS, OcNOS, FRR, SR LINUX, NETCONF and Yang would be an added advantage.Experience in Traffic Generator tools like IXIA, Spirent Test Center, TREX, Using HLTAPIs of IXIA, Spirent.
Preferred Qualifications:Interop Testing (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei. Nokia etc)Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, DEVNET, JNCIE will be an added advantage.
