Inviting applications for the role of Manager, Telecom Billing

The Telecommunication Billing Analyst is a member of IT and will work with our Telecommunication, IT Finance, and our vendors to ensure accurate invoices are processed for payment. As a Billing Analyst, you will be responsible for all the billing operations related to telephone and network services for our multi-location, multi-vendor environment. We will be counting on you to validate invoices with a high degree of accuracy to assure you we are paying our vendors appropriately and to the contract.

To be successful in this job role, you must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data. You should also be comfortable working with little supervision to meet short deadlines. Your objective will be to manage the accuracy of multiple accounts and make certain that the customers are being paid accurately.

Responsibilities

·Review client invoices ensuring charges are in line with agreed upon services performed and contract price.

·Maintain the company’s circuit and line database.

·Process new contracts and changes to existing work orders

·Manage the process around billing corrections/adjustments ensuring they occur in a timely basis.

·Collaborate with other departments to make certain of the accuracy of billing process.

·Address vendor questions and answer their queries.

·Keep track of all active transactions and requests from vendors.

·Prepare account reconciliations for each vendor.

·Prepare and present analytical reports.

·Resolve any mistakes or issues.

·Adhere to the Company policies as they apply to Network Billing

·Be an active member of decisions related to budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

·Associate degree in accounting, Finance or IT is preferred.

·Past experience performing invoice reconciliation preferred.

·Experience working within a Telecommunication company or division.

·Proven work experience as a Billing Analyst or comparable role. Entry-level experience can also be considered.

·Ability to reconcile and analyze large volumes of data.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel.

·Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·Outstanding time-management and organizational skills.

·Ability to work independently, without assistance will be an added advantage. 

·Ability to meet tight timelines is a must.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

·Preferably from a service industry

·Good communication / articulation skills

·Working knowledge on telecom assets
