Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Global Delivery and Solutions department within the Enterprise Customer Success organisation. We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in providing prompt and high-quality support to our internal solution productisation and Project Consulting teams in developing Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) solutions, assisting them in developing high quality products through automated processes. You will work with other teams including IT, Operations and Developers in maintaining CI/CD solutions for ECS Productised tools and Customer delivered Projects. Further, you will also work with project management, product management, quality assurance and documentation teams thus providing an excellent opportunity to be involved in different aspects of product development. You will report to Solution Engineering Manager. This Job workplace type will be Hybrid and Job base location is Bangalore.ResponsibilitiesEngage with internal clients to understand their products/tools CI/CD requirementsDesign CI/CD solutions, using programmatic solutions and automationAutomate configuration and deployment of product software builds across multiple environmentsMaintain DevOps configuration and Azure resource hygieneInteract with IT Cloud Teams to provision required resourcesManage build infrastructure in private and public cloud spaceIdentify and guide automation of tasks associated with CI/CD processesMaintain documentation and diagrams outlining automated solutions and build architectureMinimum QualificationsMasters/bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent with excellent academic backgroundMinimum 5- 8 years of relevant work experience in large-scale software developmentTechnical hands-on experience in managing software build environments that support multiple ongoing development effortsContinuous integration/deployment tools (CloudBees Jenkins, Jenkins)Source Code Management tools (GitHub, Perforce)Strong scripting languages such as Groovy, Bash, PowerShell and PythonExperienced with Azure cloudA variety of computing environments; Windows, Mac OSX and LinuxProject & collaboration Management Systems (DevOps, JIRA, Confluence Wiki)Development tools & SDK's such as Microsoft Visual Studio, CMake, XCode & GCCFamiliar with software engineering practices, SAFe, AGILE, DevOps methodologiesDeveloped/Developing solutions built on Azure cloudAbility to explain technical details clearly to all kinds of stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsAutomate compute deployment (Terraform, Azure Pipelines) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef or similar)Work with containers (Docker) and virtualization technologies (VMWare)Binary management through Artifactory or NexusMigrated private data center to Public Cloud (Azure & AWS)Automate infrastructure deployment and IaC tools/Infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Packer)Authoring pipelines and everything-as-codeThe Ideal CandidateKeep abreast of technology industry trends, solutions, standards and methodologiesAble to run scrum and lead calls with developers and technical consultants across organisation and GEO'sEngage with customers and Autodesk team members to stay on top of project / Productization requirementsIdentify potential new product solutions that the market will embraceDetermine/champion use of common/inner source components vs. building duplicate functionalityAdvice decision makers in Make or help with buy versus build decisionsAdapts to and leads changeAddressing technical hiccups between software development and operations, and finding solutions to keep projects on trackCoaches the team in the acceptance and support of changeMentoring skillsLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk Amazing things are created every day with our software – from the greenest buildings and cleanest cars to the smartest factories and biggest hit movies.
