The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and troubleshooting SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability, and supporting critical business operations. This role requires hands-on expertise in monitoring, replication, and resolving Level 1 and Level 2 (P1/P2) issues promptly. This role is based out of Hyderabad, India .Must Have:30 day or less notice period7+ years in MS SQL Server Administration experience requiredExperience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools is mandatoryAbility to diagnose problems and triage/resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server or storage tiers)Ability to implement automation to reduce manual administrative tasks through use of jobs.Deep knowledge with SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014, and 2016 databasesExperience with backups , restore and recovery modelsExperience in setting up , tuning and monitoring Mirroring , Replication , Log Shipping and SQL Server Service Broker is necessaryKnowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL ServerKnowledge to writing TSQLNice to Have:Experience in a startup environmentPostgreSQL, GCP or Azure experienceKey ResponsibilitiesEnsure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the businessRecovery Point Objectives (RPO), Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Archive and retention policy.Install & configure new SQL Servers and manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission - critical production systems.Server/Database Security ManagementServer Monitoring (Disk, CPU and Memory usage) and Resource ManagementSQL Agent Jobs Monitoring (including maintenance jobs alerts and notifications)SQL Server Error Log monitoringTEMP DB and Transaction log Size maintenanceIndex OptimizationPatching and Upgrading SQL Server
