Overview

The aim of the Database Developer is to work within a team of developers in the delivery of current and emerging business requirements. You will bring your knowledge, expertise and work ethic in the fast paced environment using Agile/Scrum methodology. This is a hands-on role requiring in-depth knowledge in Oracle Database Server development, project experience and project life cycle. Specific emphasis will be on:

Work within a team of developers assisting in:Timely completion of task assignedEffective technology usage for problem solvingGovernance & Risk

Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirementsSupport Link Group assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practicesExperience & Personal Attributes

3 to 6 years development experience with Oracle Database version 9i /10g / 11g /12cManage all phases of the SDLC from analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance.Primary Skills:

Create and maintain indexes, constraints, tables, PL/SQL store procedures & packages and produce queries to answer business questions.Create numerous simple to complex queries involving self joins, correlate sub-queries, functions, cursors, dynamic SQL.Strong knowledge of T-SQL / PL-SQLPackage creation and maintenanceUsing system-supplied packagesDatabase triggersNetworkingTablespace managementOracle database toolsDatabase backup and recoveryDECLARE, BEGIN & EXCEPTION clauseA good understanding of data modelling and database schema design principalsData normalizationKnowledge of database optimization techniquesSecondary Skills:

Exceptional analytical skills in order to analyse and interpret business needs, and to provide constructive input into the development and technology solutionsExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologyExposure to cloud technologies, .
