Job Description We are looking for a Network Security Expert to strengthen the Perimeter Security group and contribute to increasing the network security posture of an International Insurance Group. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Security Solutions: Create system designs, operating concepts, and cost estimates for central security solutions.

  • Manage Internet Proxies: Operate an Internet proxy, implement customer and security requirements (whitelisting/blacklisting, authorization assignment, etc.).

  • Develop DNS Platforms: Provision, operate, and further develop the public DNS platform.

  • Administer IPS Solutions: Configure rules and policies, analyze logs, and optimize protective measures. Manage web application firewalls, analyze logs for false positives, and implement requirements (new rules, whitelisting, etc.).

  • Firewall Rules and Audits: Review firewall rules, accompany audits, and support the Tufin tool as a security policy orchestrator.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain Implemented Solutions: Ensure safe operation of implemented solutions, continuously optimize them, and perform necessary maintenance work.

  • DDoS Protection: Protect European data centers from DDoS attacks.

Support CSIRT: Implement requirements from GOSP's CSIRT and support incident analysis and resolution.
Profil

  • Education: University degree in business informatics, information technology, or a comparable education.

  • Experience: More than 5 years of experience in the field of IT security.

  • Technical Skills: Excellent understanding of network infrastructures (routing, switching, firewall) and IPv4/IPv6 protocols. In-depth knowledge of Tufin, WAF, and IPS technologies.

  • Scripting Skills: Knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Perl, Python, or Bash (Shell) is desirable.

  • Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with Netskope Proxy and Infoblox DNS is desirable.

  • Analytical and Conceptual Skills: Strong analytical and conceptual abilities with a quick grasp.

  • Work Methodology: Independent and detailed way of working, with a reliable eye for the essentials.

  • Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English (German and Italian are a plus).
