HCL Software is a division of HCL Technologies (HCL) that operates its primary software business. At HCL Software we develop, market, sell and support over 20 product families in the areas of Customer Experience, Digital Solutions, Secure DevOps, Security & Automation.
Location – Hybrid / Remote
Software Development Engineer in Testing (SDET) 7 to 12 years of experience.
Brief Description of Job Role: The role involves understanding the leading Application Security tool – HCL AppScan with the primary objective of testing its offerings and integrations to identify any flaws in the existing or new features, alongside a sustained contribution toward developing automation test coverage.
Skills Required (Mandatory):
- Software Development Engineer in Testing (SDET)- Working experience with any programming language.- Working knowledge of Test automation frameworks- Expertise in testing Web applications & REST APIs- Strong Analytical & problem-solving skills.- Working knowledge of Tools like Git and Jira- Understanding of Agile methodologies.- Working knowledge in DevSecOps.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with the development team to understand the requirements.- Understand the features and functionality of the product and relate to how customers use it.- Devise scenarios for testing the various features and functionality.- Develop test automation for the product.- Perform functional and Regression testing – manual and automation.
Education:
- Must be a Graduate, Bachelor of Engineering/Technology or Master of Computer Science.
