SDET / Automation Engineer (Java + Selenium) Experience: 5–9 Years Work Mode: Hybrid – 4 Days Work from Office Location: Gurugram Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled SDET / Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Selenium to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for pure automation professionals with a strong engineering mindset and hands-on experience in building scalable, maintainable automation frameworks. Candidates from product-based organizations with a strong automation culture are highly preferred. Priority will be given to candidates currently based in or having prior work experience in Delhi NCR / North India . Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications and backend systems Perform database testing by writing and executing complex SQL queries Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines Identify, analyze, and report defects with clear reproduction steps Debug frontend and backend issues in collaboration with development teams Ensure high-quality test coverage and continuous improvement of automation processes Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies Mandatory Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Java Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver Strong expertise in database testing using SQL Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle , or similar Hands-on experience with TestNG or JUnit Proficiency with Git or other version control systems Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across UI and backend layers Process & Methodology Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment Strong understanding of test automation best practices and test lifecycle Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Proactive attitude with a strong ownership mindset Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates from product-based companies with strong automation and engineering culture Candidates based in or with prior experience in Delhi NCR / North India
