1. Project Management:

  • Lead and manage interior design projects, including coordinating with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and schedules, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

2. Design Development:

  • Conceptualize and develop interior design concepts in line with client needs, project requirements, and design trends.
  • Create mood boards, sketches, renderings, and other visual representations to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Select and specify furniture, fixtures, materials, finishes, and equipment (FF&E) for interior spaces.

3. Space Planning:

  • Analyze and assess spatial requirements, traffic flow, and functional needs to optimize interior layouts.
  • Produce detailed space plans, floor plans, and furniture layouts, considering factors such as ergonomics, accessibility, and code compliance.

4. Design Documentation:

  • Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules, to communicate design intent to clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, and mock-ups to ensure compliance with design specifications.

5. Construction Administration:

  • Oversee the implementation of design plans during the construction phase, including site visits, progress inspections, and addressing any design-related issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges and ensure quality craftsmanship and installation.

6. Client Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback throughout the design process.
  • Present design proposals, concepts, and solutions to clients in a clear and persuasive manner, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

7. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior designers and other members of the project team.
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, consultants, and other professionals to integrate interior design with overall project goals and requirements.

8. Industry Knowledge and Trends:

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in interior design.
  • Participate in professional development activities, such as workshops, conferences, and continuing education courses, to enhance skills and knowledge.

9. Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, reviewing invoices, and making cost-effective decisions to maximize project profitability.
  • Source and procure materials, furnishings, and equipment within budget constraints, while maintaining high-quality standards.

10. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that interior design projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards, including ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements, fire codes, and environmental sustainability guidelines.



Overall, as a Senior Interior Designer, you play a crucial role in translating clients' visions into functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces while overseeing all aspects of the design process, from conceptualization to implementation.
