  • Design and Detailing:
    Creating detailed structural designs for transmission towers and their foundations, using software like AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, and potentially BOCAD.
  • Calculations and Analysis:
    Performing structural calculations to ensure the tower can withstand various loads (wind, ice, etc.) and meet safety factors.
  • Material Selection:
    Selecting appropriate materials for tower construction based on strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drawing Preparation and Review:
    Preparing and reviewing detailed fabrication drawings, including BOM (Bill of Materials) and ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Code Compliance:
    Ensuring that all designs comply with relevant electrical and mechanical engineering codes, such as ASCE 10 or ANSI/TIA-222.
  • Coordination:
    Collaborating with project managers, construction teams, and other engineering disciplines (electrical, civil) to ensure seamless integration of the tower design.
  • Client Communication:
    Maintaining professional communication with clients for approvals, revisions, and updates on the design.
  • Staying Updated:
    Keeping abreast of new technologies, design practices, and relevant industry standards.
  • Site Visits and Inspections:
    May involve occasional site visits to inspect construction and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Innovative Solutions:
    Researching and proposing innovative design solutions to improve efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness
