Job Summary

The XML Executive will create, manage, and troubleshoot XML-based content and data systems. The role involves working closely with teams to ensure accurate conversion, validation, and maintenance of XML files in compliance with industry standards and organisational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Management:

  • Create, edit, and maintain XML files as per specifications.

  • Convert raw content into structured XML formats using tools and scripts.

  • Validation and Testing:

  • Validate XML files against DTDs, schemas, or other validation criteria.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in XML files, ensuring proper structure and compliance.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work with technical teams, editors, and content managers to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Coordinate with developers to integrate XML into existing systems.

  • Quality Assurance:

  • Perform quality checks on XML deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Optimise XML workflows for improved efficiency and reliability.

  • Tool and System Management:

  • Utilise tools like XSLT, XPath, and XQuery for XML transformation and querying.

  • Manage XML editing tools (e.g., Oxygen XML Editor, Notepad++, Epsilon) and content management systems.
