  • Assist the GCS international business development team with reviewing site geotechnical reports for potential projects. Flag design risks and make preliminary recommendations on foundation types and embedment depths.
  • Prepare load test (pull test) procedures, send them out for quote to geotechnical subcontractors and coordinate access with the site developers. This will involve planning and moderating kickoff calls prior to mobilization.
  • Growing and maintaining relationships with geotechnical subcontractors in countries outside of the US will be a primary responsibility of this role.
  • Good interpersonal skills to accomplish the given task with the required level of communication and coordination.
  • Review results from pull testing and work with our team of geotechnical/structural engineers to finalize foundation designs.
  • Interface with clients and participate in project meetings with other design engineers and contractors.

Geotechnical Engineer JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • M.E / M. Tech in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Comfortable with verbal and written communication in English.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and reports.
  • Ability to perform work independently and reliably according to work schedules and assignments.
  • Capability for navigating, interpreting and applying code requirements.
  • Must be self-directed and resourceful, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Geotechnical Engineer JOB PREFERENCES:

  • Experience with LPILE software
  • Experience with Netsuite. You will use this to prepare Sales Orders and Purchase Orders for load testing services.
  • Moderate proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Working level experience in ASCE / Euro code is a plus.
