Role Title : 04 Senior/Lead DevopsEngineer

About therole

  • Youll be workingwithin an international group of teams which span from the US tillIndia. This group is responsible for creating and managingreference data from all the broadcast and streaming stations acrossthe continental US collecting and processing data from our metersin panelists homes for Television audience measurement.
  • As a Senior/Lead Devops Engineer you will help toincrease speed of delivery improve quality/security of code andoptimize processes for the development team.
  • You will be responsible for identifying the bottlenecksof various development and delivery processes working with teammembers to improve them and improving the overall experience ofdevelopers.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Tech Leads and developers of variousteams to assess existing problems and to come up with processimprovement solutions
  • Detect upcomingbottlenecks and production issues proactively and consult teamshandson towards improved technical solutions
  • Participate in planning delivery time code quality andprocess efficiency improvement projects
  • Execute on plan by building coding standardizations andautomating processes for the organization
  • Perform daily tasks such as environmental health checksdisk space monitoring and environmental status reports
  • Maintain and grows knowledge of platform configurationmanagement and troubleshooting
  • Activelyparticipate in deploying application artifacts to appropriatetarget environments using the supported technologies andinfrastructure
  • Survey developers and technicalmembers of the organization to understand their main pain points inthe coding and development process
  • Collaboratewith the rest of DevOps team to deliver consistent and holisticsolution to the organization

Key Skills

  • Domain Expertise
    • 6 years of experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer on acrossfunctional agile team
    • Bachelors degreein Computer Science MIS or Engineering
  • TechnicalSkills
  • Excellent coding and scripting skills (Bash Python) andexperience with implementing highscale cloud architectures usingmodern cloudbased container platforms (PaaS/SaaS)
  • Working knowledge of deployment automation solutions(i.e. Terraform Helm etc.)
  • Knowledge of cloudinfrastructure (AWS Azure) and cluster management tools likeKubernetes Docker configuration management andmonitoring
  • Experience with continuousintegration and related tools such as Jenkins Hudson Maven Ant GitSonar etc.
  • Experienced with building debuggingoperating systems databases and infrastructure at scale
