Professional Experience & Responsibilities
(L3 Network Security Engineer - Expert-Level Support):
The candidate must have proven expertise in:
Manage and troubleshoot complex firewall configurations using Checkpoint.
Handle L3-level escalations for firewall-related incidents and service requests.
Design and implement security policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurations.
Perform deep packet inspection, log analysis, and forensic investigations.
Collaborate with SOC teams to respond to security breaches and alerts.
Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and compliance audits.
Maintain high availability and disaster recovery setups for firewall infrastructure.
Participate in change management and ensure strict adherence to MSE's security protocols.
Ideal Background:
Expert-level knowledge of Checkpoint firewalls, including SmartConsole, Gaia OS, and Threat Prevention modules.
Strong grasp of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), IPSec VPN, and SSL VPN.
Familiarity with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and log correlation.
Experience with network segmentation, zero trust architecture, and micro-segmentation.
Ability to work in 24x7 rotational shifts and handle critical incident response.
Experience in financial services or stock exchange environments is a big plus
