Accountant

Responsibilities:
- Prepare tax returns and other tax documents for individuals and businesses.
- Assist with client onboarding and data management.
- Stay up-to-date on current tax laws and regulations, including GST.
- Communicate effectively with clients to answer questions and provide clear explanations.
- Prepare financial statements and perform other accounting tasks (as needed).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field.
- Strong understanding of taxation principles and accounting practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with client and data management (or a willingness to learn).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of GST (or a willingness to learn).
Desired skills:
- Proven working experience as Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable and receivables principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
