TITLE: Infrastructure Manager
JOB TYPE: Full Time
This is a key role involving the implementation, support and optimization of our on-premises datacenters and systems, whilst in parallel helping to redefine and move to a Cloud-based infrastructure. The role will be part of a team that is shaping the future of our Enterprise Architecture and will act as the solution architect for new systems, refreshes, and cloud-based solutions.
Accountabilities:
Responsible for the agile delivery a of reliable, secure, and cost-efficient IT infrastructure.
Report on Infrastructure service quality and metrics, including creation of dashboard views.
Play a key role in operational Data Centre and hosting automation and improvement projects, coordinating delivery across the IT infrastructure team.
Take an ‘Infrastructure as code’ approach, creating new automation solutions.
Work with Technology and Business Unit leadership to develop the long-term vision for Data Centre technologies and solutions.
Drive the migration to and adoption of cloud-based technologies and solutions.
The effective maintenance of secure and stable IT platforms for the business.
Ensure all services and automation standards are appropriately documented, including Solution Architecture, Support, and Operational Procedure documentation.
Build and own vendor relationships in the IT Infrastructure domain, managing service quality, contracts, and spend.
Engage closely with the rest of the Technology function to achieve stable, reliable and compliant Technology services.
Provide escalation support for support teams, taking ownership in the resolution of issues.
Coach and develop other team members, passing on knowledge at appropriate levels to both junior and senior staff members.
Qualifications:
A degree or postgraduate degree in IT, software engineering, or equivalent.
Certifications in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure ad/or AWS
Skills/Experience:
The design, deployment, and maintenance of VMware services, including Horizon Cloud
Providing IT administration and engineering services managing Windows and Linux Servers.
Implementing automated deployment solutions using scripting, such as PowerCLI.
Configuration and support for firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
Managing SAN and NAS storage solutions, e.g., Dell EMC Isilon
Securing and hardening of server environments, including managing access
Planning and executing migrations from on-premises data centers to public cloud.
Ability to multi-task and be creative in a dynamic, fast paced team environment.
Experience managing small projects and leading initiatives with minimal direction throughout the project lifecycle.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Management implementation and operation
