ALFA Specialist

As a Senior Software Development Engineer working in Ford Credit IT, you will join platform engineering team that supports workflows, rules and configurations for originations, receivables, and collections platform. You will engage the team to identify and rank opportunities for development or refactoring while continuously removing roadblocks.

You will work on a balanced product team to define, design, develop and deploy microservices based high quality products hosted on cloud platform. Additionally, you will conduct proof-of-concepts to support new features, ensure quality, timely delivery using Agile Extreme Programming practices

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 10+ years software engineering experience in application development. Around 8+ years experience in using any originations and receivables platforms Configuration of receivables, automated credit decisioning, payout handling, Customer, Account and Dealer servicing, collections & recovery, remarketing services on any of the originations and receivables platforms. Java Spring / Springboot, Microservices, GraphQL Cloud platforms – knowledge on any of the public cloud platform GCP, Azure or AWS Persistence - Buckets, PostgreSQL Bigtable

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience of handling  APIs and Workflows Strong experience of making configuration changes in Software Experience in modern software development methodology, such as pair programming, test-first/test-driven development OR demonstrated delivery of singular focus programming  Experience using advanced software configuration management (source control, dev ops, ci/cd, Experience with: Experience with cloud native environments such as serverless, containers, multiple data repository structures. Experience with software operations (Dev Ops, SRE, observability, support/maintenance, Demonstrated experience designing reactive service oriented systems using enterprise tooling (web, interop, persistence, Experience architecting solutions for appropriate scale, reliability security, performance, etc.
