Qualifications/Skillset Requirements

•4 to 6 yrs relevant work experience in SDET role

•Proficient in Javascript/Typescript, Java, and other languages based UI Test Automation tools

•Strong work experience automating Angular based applications using WebdriverIO (v6 or higher) or Nightwatch

•Proficient with Jasmin, Mocha, Chai frameworks and assertion libraries

•Strong hands-on experience with locator strategies and handling wait conditions in JS-based Automation frameworks

•Ability to quickly build framework components and reusable assets using design patterns

•Good knowledge of web services standards, API Testing, and related technologies (REST, SOAP, XML) using Postman or similar tools

•Well versed working with RestAssured or similar HTTP Client libraries for API Automation

•Experience in developing automation scripts using various framework approaches such as Modular, Keyword driven and Data-driven

•Analysing functional and technical documentation in order to identify requirements for test cases and test scripts

•Experience testing in cross-browser

•Ability to mentor and guide testing team to deliver in a fast-paced environment

•Experience with tools like JIRA, Sharepoint, Rally, wiki, etc

•Should have worked on source code management tools like GIT/SVN

•Experience integrating the test framework with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium Grid) in the cloud and data-center based infrastructure

•Experience working in Agile development methodology and fast-paced delivery model

•Propensity to probe and find defects

•Inquisitive, methodical, and analytical in testing applications

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Thrive in a self-motivated internal-innovation driven environment

•Experience in a global matrix organization

•Ability to quickly understand code and specifications

Roles & Responsibilities

•Mentor and coach other QE engineers in the team•Breakdown complex tasks into smaller chunks of work and clear understanding of defined tasks•Ability to quickly understand complex functionalities and build automation assets with reusability, stability, and high quality•Write utilities/automation tools using Java, Javascript/Typescript, REST, and more•Root cause analysis and track defect resolution to completion•Ability to collaborate with test engineers, SDETs, developers, and other stakeholders•Passionate to innovate & implement ideas to address efficiency, best practices, improved processes, and custom solutions•Communicate daily status reports in Scrum and participate in agile ceremonies•Document process, designs, test results, and analysis reports
