Position Overview:
We seek a talented and experienced Senior Copywriter to join our retail cafe brand. The ideal candidate will be proficient in English and Tamil, with a strong ability to craft compelling and engaging content that resonates with our diverse customer base. As a Senior Copywriter, you will lead the creation of content for our social media platforms and in-store promotions, helping to shape the voice of our brand. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the spellcheck and grammatical accuracy of all company documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Develop high-quality copy in English and Tamil for various channels, including social media, website, email campaigns, and in-store marketing materials.
Craft engaging and persuasive content that aligns with our brand’s tone of voice and appeals to our target audience.
Write product descriptions, promotional materials, and branded content that enhances customer engagement and drives sales.
Social Media Leadership:
Lead the development of content strategies for our social media platforms, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand presence.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create content calendars, manage social media posts, and engage with our audience in both English and Tamil.
Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies to keep our content fresh, relevant, and effective.
Campaign Management:
Work closely with the brand team to develop copy for marketing campaigns, including seasonal promotions, product launches, and brand storytelling initiatives.
Ensure all copy aligns with the brand's messaging and marketing objectives, maintaining a cohesive voice across all channels.
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input to help shape the direction of campaigns.
Content Optimization:
Optimize content for SEO, ensuring that our digital presence is easily discoverable by our target audience.
Use analytics and performance metrics to refine and improve content, enhancing its effectiveness and reach.
Continuously test and iterate on copy to maximize engagement and conversion rates.
Document Quality Assurance:
Manage the overall spellcheck and grammatical accuracy for all company documentation, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all written materials.
Review and proofread documents, presentations, and internal communications to ensure error-free content.
Implement and maintain a standardized process for document review and approval to uphold the company’s brand standards.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with designers, photographers, and videographers to ensure that copy and visuals work together seamlessly.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content meets the brand’s strategic goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably within the consumer brand sectors.
Proficiency in both English and Tamil, with a strong command of grammar, spelling, and language nuances.
Proven experience in leading social media content creation and strategy.
Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of writing styles and formats, including social media content, marketing copy, and longer-form writing.
Excellent understanding of branding and how to convey brand values through copy.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free content.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital marketing strategies.
Familiarity with content management systems and social media scheduling tools.
Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute with precision.
