The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the regulatory environment (GxP, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11), data security and privacy, clinical and lab systems, and the use of cloud technologies to support digital transformation. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to align architecture with strategic goals and ensure solutions meet the compliance and performance standards critical to the Healthcare sector.Required Skills:Domain Expertise – HealthcareStrong knowledge of clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, lab management, regulatory submissions, or manufacturing systemsExperience working with platforms such as Veeva, Medidata, Oracle Health Sciences, LIMS, or CTMSDeep understanding of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR, and data integrity regulationsDeep understanding of all phases of clinical trials, drug development, government and regulatory approval processes.Familiarity with eTMF, CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM), and electronic data capture (EDC) systemsExperience with digital transformation in R&D, clinical, or regulatory affairs domainsApplication ArchitectureProven experience in designing large-scale, distributed, and high-availability systems.Proficiency in architecture patterns: microservices, domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture, service mesh.Deep understanding of multi-tier architecture, integration patterns, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).Hands-on experience with REST, GraphQL, and SOAP-based service integration.Hands-on experience defining NFRs including scalability, availability, and performance.Cloud Platforms & InfrastructureStrong expertise on one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with PaaS, serverless, managed databases, and compliance-ready cloud servicesHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep/ARM templates)Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud strategies and deployment modelsExperience in designing for cloud resilience, failover, and DR strategies.Security and ComplianceSolid knowledge of application, infrastructure, and data security principles.Strong knowledge of cloud security, encryption standards, IAM, KMS, and secure APIsExperience implementing secure, compliant systems handling PHI/PII and lab/clinical dataFamiliarity with tools and processes for secure SDLC and DevSecOps practicesKnowledge of audit trails, digital signatures, validation, and compliance reportingData, AI/ML & IntegrationExperience designing data flows and architectures for structured and unstructured dataFamiliarity with clinical data pipelines, data standardization, and metadata managementExposure to AI/ML models in drug discovery, clinical risk analysis, or real-world data analysisExperience integrating analytics tools and platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQueryDevOps and Engineering ExcellenceExperience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, etc.)Monitoring, observability, and incident response experience with tools like Prometheus, ELK, DatadogHands-on with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).Support engineering teams with code review, technical leadership, and reusable reference architectureSoft Skills & Technical LeadershipExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills (technical and non-technical)Ability to manage complex requirements from regulatory, clinical, and data privacy teamsCapable of leading architecture reviews and making decisions balancing risk, value, and speedExperience in Agile, SAFe, or other iterative development methodologiesAbility to mentor engineering teams on design and best practices.Key Responsibility:Design and own scalable, secure, and regulatory-compliant solution architectures for Healthcare applicationsPartner with business stakeholders to understand strategic goals and translate them into architectural solutionsDefine data models, integration strategies, cloud hosting blueprints, and system interoperability patternsDrive architectural reviews, technology selection, and proof of concept (POC) initiativesEnsure security and privacy by design, aligned with Healthcare regulations and best practiceOur Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:Did you know that Apexon has been Certified™ by Great Place To Work®, the global authority on workplace culture, in each of the three regions in which it operates: USA (for the fourth time in 2023), India (seven consecutive certifications as of 2023), and the UK.
