Job Description
1) Highlighting the risks to crop estimates by evaluating different scenarios and assessing the impact on yields, taking into account factors such as weather, pests, diseases, and fluctuations in input costs or labor supply.
2) Leading field trials and research projects to test new agricultural products, technologies, and farming practices.
3) Providing expert advice on crop selection, planting techniques, fertilization, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting methods.
4) Conducting soil and substrate tests to recommend suitable soil management practices.
5) Developing quality control measures for agronomic operations like seed handling, planter spacing accuracy, and irrigation system performance.
6) Creating plans to monitor crops for weeds, insects, and diseases.
7) Designing irrigation schedules and soil moisture monitoring plans to optimize water use.
8) Conducting detailed studies on production costs and gross margins.
9) Analyzing trends (examining patterns and data over time-related to various agricultural factors such as crop performance, market behavior, weather patterns, pest or disease outbreaks, and labor or input cost changes) and evaluating patterns to draw data-driven conclusions.
10) Monitoring weather conditions and long-term forecasts to update production estimates accordingly.
Additional Information
1) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
2) excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
3) Strong ability to create and deliver business presentations in English, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
1) Masters Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Entomology, Pathology, Microbiology etc
2) English & Tamil, English & Telugu, English & kannada
3) Fresher to 1-2 years of experience with the right skill sets
