Our vision is to promote wellness as children of today are the future of tomorrow.Position Overview:Lead the process in development, implementation, and coordination of the occupational therapy program. Screening, evaluation, educational program and transition planning, therapeutic intervention, and exit planning is provided for clients identified with or suspected of having disabilities that interfere with their ability to perform daily life activities or participate in necessary or desired occupations. Professional judgment and clinical knowledge to be used to develop individualized programming based on occupational performance deficits in the areas of personal care, interaction skills, process skills, play. Expected to independently review outcomes and modify intervention programs.Responsibilities:Conduct initial intakes to gather relevant informationAdminister occupational therapy screenings and evaluations including sensory profilesDevelop & implement occupational therapy treatment, plans of care including goals and objectives, and home programs for occupational therapy strategies and recommendationsMake environmental adaptations to promote success across environmentsMake recommendations for adaptive or specialized equipment/furniture and train use of the equipment/furniture to family members and/or educational/therapeutic team membersAddress client’s occupational performance to support engagement in occupations (e.g., ADL’s, IADL’s, etc.) across environments affecting health, well-being, safety and quality of life in a person with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilitiesCreate and perform task analyses to break down activities into achievable components for both the client and their family/caregiversGuide and educate family members and caregivers during evaluation and treatment processesObserve, note, and perform data collection/report on progress of long and short term treatment goalsCompose home programs and training of strategies for clients, families/caregivers addressing performance skillsParticipate in transdisciplinary clinical team meetings/discussionsConsult across disciplines to provide suggestions for environmental adaptationsRequirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.Valid registration as an Occupational Therapist.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and openness to learn.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to continuing education and professional development.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for career growth and advancement.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Continuing education and professional development opportunities.How to Apply:If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and meet the requirements for this position, we encourage you to apply by submitting your resume and cover letter to
