About Rang De:Rang De ( is a social innovation startup that aims to revolutionize credit access for underserved communities by connecting individual lenders and borrowers together, cutting out the need for an intermediary, and offering highly customized and affordable loans than traditional lenders.Having pioneered the model in India in 2008, Rang De's purpose built technology platform has proved to be game changing for providing timely access to credit for thousands of farmers and entrepreneurs.We are a small team with big dreams and are seeking highly talented and experienced individuals to join us in this crucial role for expanding our impact and driving meaningful change in underserved communities.Role: Project Director, Financial InclusionWork mode: Remote work, based out of Bhubaneswar with travel within OdishaFunction: Impact & InnovationRole Overview:Rang De creates impact at scale by partnering with organizations working on the ground closely with unbanked communities. These partner organisations are the hands and feet of Rang De. Rang De is providing a unique opportunity to experience working closely with these impact partner organisations and their community. The role entails working with a cluster of such partners and having an opportunity to create innovative credit programs with them for the community and run special initiatives that supplement the credit program.Responsibilities:Coordinate and communicate with a cluster of partners in the region for deeper engagements with themWork with the partner organisations, in their area of intervention, to understand the community, their intervention and pain points and create solutionsDesign and build internal systems and capacity for the partner organisations through techno-managerial support and business processes to implement successful credit programs.Follow up, monitor and report progress on a regular basis to the central operations team and ensure smooth operations of the credit programDevelop, manage and grow working relationships with partner organisations and key stakeholdersDocumentation of best practices on the ground, enablement of data and photographs required for impact reports- leading to cross pollination of knowledge with other partners.Requirements:8+ years of experience with at least 4-6 years of experience working in the social sectorMust have handled multiple stakeholders like NGOs, CSOs, Govt functionariesExceptional problem-solving and advisory skills, strong presentation and data analytical abilitiesStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectivelyPrior experience in leading diverse teams and people managementDemonstrated commitment to social impact/prior experience working in the social sectorSelf-driven, high-energy, curious and adaptable personality with the ability to produce high quality (entrepreneurial mindset)Degree in MBA/MSW or other social science subjectsAbility to communicate social impact to a wider audienceBenefits:Work From HomeWork with a start-up team passionate about social impactCompetitive salary as per the social sectorAdditional 11 days leave for Vipassana MeditationCreate sustainable social impact with your workHow to Apply:Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and why they are passionate about joining Rang De.
