Core Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and implement complex data pipelines using Ab Initio to support the enterprise-wide consent order initiative.
  • Partner with business analysts and data modelers to translate business requirements into technical specifications for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reusable Ab Initio graphs to ensure efficient data movement within the organization.
  • Utilize SQL Server to interact with relational databases for data extraction and transformation purposes.
  • Work with large datasets and leverage scripting languages (T-SQL, Hive/HQL, shell scripting, etc.) to automate tasks and enhance ETL process efficiency.
  • Adhere to established development standards, coding practices, and version control systems.
  • Collaborate with team members across different departments (business analysts, data modelers, QA testers) to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies, including attending sprint planning meetings, daily stand-up calls, and code reviews.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production issues related to Ab Initio data pipelines and implement effective solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Ab Initio technology and best practices.
  • Document technical designs, code, and processes for future reference and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications :

  • Strong in-depth knowledge of relational database concepts (MS SQL Server) and data warehousing/datalake principles.
  • Proven expertise in Ab Initio development tools and functionalities (graphs, transformations, etc.).
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries (T-SQL) for data manipulation and extraction.
  • Experience working with scripting languages such as Hive/HQL, batch scripting, shell scripting, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Hadoop/MongoDB (desirable).
  • Experience working in a complex development environment with large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies (SDLC).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
