Senior Azure Data Engineer

In this role you will work in one of our agile teams, with ingesting data from private and public cloud into Azure Serverless containers, curate the data using Synapse and do advanced analytics and predictions using our strategic Palantir Foundry platform.Key responsibilitiesDesign and implement data pipelines in collaboration with our data users and other internal teamsEnsure reliability, data quality and optimal performance of our data assetsTranspose complex business and analytics requirements into high-quality data assetsDeliver high-quality code, focusing on simplicity, reusability, performance, and maintainabilityWork with solution engineers, data scientists and product owner to deliver end to end productsAbout You:Overall 5+ years of experience with Software/data engineering skills and proficiency in programming languagesHands on development experience with Python is a must.Familiarity with system design, data structures, algorithms, storage systems, and cloud infrastructureStrong knowledge in Azure Data Lake, Azure SQLAzure Synapse experience is a plusExperience with orchestration frameworks and Azure DevOps CI/CD tools.Experience in designing and developing serverless architectureWorking experience in Azure DevOps, Azure Networking, API gatewaysIn depth knowledge of distributed computing frameworks, PySpark experience is a must.Strong understanding of data modelling and data architecture conceptsWorking knowledge of advanced analytics (Machine Learning, Statistics) is a plusHands-on experience working on Foundry Pipelines is desirable.About Swiss ReSwiss Re is one of the world’s leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, working to make the world more resilient.
