The Trainee - Counselling role is designed for individuals passionate about supporting individuals through guidance and counseling. Under supervision, the trainee will assist in providing counseling services, maintaining client confidentiality, and developing skills required to become a professional counselor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Counseling Support:

• Assist in conducting individual and group counseling sessions under the supervision of a senior counselor.
• Help clients with personal, academic, or professional challenges by providing guidance and emotional support.

• Assessment and Planning:

• Administer and interpret basic assessment tools to understand client needs.
• Collaborate in developing personalized action plans or interventions.

• Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions.
• Prepare periodic reports on client progress and share them with the supervisor.

• Workshops and Seminars:

• Support in organizing and conducting workshops on stress management, career planning, interpersonal skills, etc.
• Assist in creating educational materials and resources for clients.

• Training and Development:

• Participate in regular training sessions to enhance counseling skills and knowledge.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and psychological trends.

• Collaboration and Networking:

• Work with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to client well-being.
• Network with external organizations for resource sharing and professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A degree or diploma , counseling, social work, or a related field (or currently pursuing one).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Basic knowledge of counseling theories and techniques.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a similar role or volunteering in counseling.
