Job Description

What are we looking for?
Experience in patch management, software packaging, or system administration.
Strong knowledge of patch management tools and techniques, such as Tanium, WSUS, SCCM, MDT or similar platforms.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., WMI, PowerShell, VBScript) for automation and customization tasks.
Experience with application packaging tools and technologies (e.g., Tanium Modules, Patch & Deploy).
Familiarity with software deployment methodologies, including MSI packaging, .exe Packages, App-V sequencing, and virtualization.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Certifications such as Tanium Certified Operator, Tanium Certified Administrator, Microsoft Certified: SCCM, Intune, Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar are a plus.
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
Coordinate and execute the patch management process for operating systems, applications, and third-party software components.
Identify, prioritize, and deploy security patches and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure system integrity.
Develop and maintain patch deployment schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of patches on existing systems and applications.
Package and customize applications for deployment using industry-standard packaging tools (e.g., Tanium, SCCM, MSI, App-V, etc.).
Test application packages for compatibility, functionality, and performance prior to deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to patching, application packaging, and software deployment.
Document patching and packaging processes, including version control, change management, and configuration management.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to patch management and application packaging.
