Senior Data Architect – SnowflakeLocation: Trivandrum / Kochi (Hybrid / Remote Flexibility) Experience: 10+ Years Budget: Up to ₹30 LPA Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred Working Hours: 12 PM – 9 PM IST (Mandatory EST Overlap) We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect with strong expertise in Snowflake, enterprise data engineering, and cloud data architecture. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on leadership in building scalable data platforms, designing enterprise-grade data models, and driving high-impact data initiatives. About the RoleThis role involves architecting end-to-end data solutions on Snowflake, establishing data governance and Data Ops standards, and leading technical teams in modern data engineering practices. You will collaborate closely with business, Dev Ops, cloud, and analytics teams to ensure that data systems are performant, secure, and aligned with organizational goals. Key ResponsibilitiesData Architecture and StrategyDesign and architect large-scale, secure, high-performing data solutions on Snowflake. Define data standards, governance practices, and Data Ops frameworks. Architect ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data. Lead data migration from SAP BW/ECC systems to Snowflake. Technical LeadershipGuide data engineering teams on solution design, ETL optimization, and data modeling. Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and architecture assessments. Mentor junior engineers and promote modern data stack best practices. Collaboration and DeliveryWork with business stakeholders to convert requirements into data models and architecture blueprints. Collaborate with cloud and Dev Ops teams to enhance automation and deployment workflows. Support analytics and BI teams by enabling optimized data structures and metadata management. Mandatory Skill Requirements (Must-Have)Core Technical RequirementsStrong hands-on experience architecting data warehouses and data platforms in Snowflake. Expertise in data modeling, schema design, and query/performance optimization. Extensive experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, transformations, and orchestration. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, along with advanced SQL. Practical knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience in data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality practices. Understanding of real-time data pipelines, streaming, and Change Data Capture (CDC). Working experience with dbt for data transformations. Leadership and Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven experience mentoring and leading technical teams. Clear, structured communication across technical and business functions. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, cross-time-zone environments. Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience extracting data from SAP BW or SAP ECC via ETL/ELT. Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Knowledge of SAP ABAP programming and SAP integration mechanisms. Understanding of compliance standards such as GDPR or ISO 27001. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate architecture to non-technical stakeholders.
