Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Automation Tester with 10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests, identifying and reporting defects, and ensuring the quality of our software products. This role requires deep expertise in automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or other industry-standard tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test automation strategies.
  • Analyze test results, report defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Optimize existing automation frameworks and tools to increase test coverage, reduce testing time, and improve test reliability.
  • Participate in the design and development of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex, multi-tiered applications.
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous testing processes in a DevOps environment.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testers, sharing best practices and automation techniques.
  • Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system reliability and scalability.
  • Stay updated on new testing tools and strategies and evaluate their potential use within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI) and source control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in mobile automation testing.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or other relevant fields.
