Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Project Engineer located in Jharkhand .

The Electrical Project Engineer will be primarily responsible for the execution, supervision, and technical compliance of all electrical activities on our ongoing Blast Furnace projects . Day-to-day tasks will focus on the complete project lifecycle, including:

  • On-site Supervision: Directing and overseeing all Erection, Testing, and Commissioning activities.
  • Blast Furnace Systems: Design, maintain, and troubleshoot the electrical power and control systems for the Blast Furnace itself, ensuring stable operation of high-criticality areas (e.g., Stoves, Blower House).
  • Material Handling: Manage the automation and electrical maintenance for the Stock House and raw material handling systems (conveyors, feeders, screens).
  • Heavy Lifting Control: Expertly maintain and troubleshoot the electrical control panels, drives, and safety systems for EOT Cranes (Electric Overhead Traveling Cranes) used in heavy lifting operations.
  • Process Automation: Develop and modify PLC/HMI logic for environmental and process control systems, specifically the HBS/GCP (Harmonics Bypass System / Gas Cleaning Plant).
  • Furnace Efficiency: Maintain and optimize the specialized control systems like BLT (Burden Layer Thickness or Bells Less Top) equipment to ensure efficient material charging.
  • Breakdown & Safety: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) on major electrical faults and ensure all maintenance procedures comply strictly with NEC/NFPA 70E and site safety standards.


Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in relevant projects.

Industry: Mandatory: direct experience with Blast Furnace projects/operations.

Education: B.Tech/B.E. or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Technical: Strong proficiency in electrical design documentation and system schematics.

License: Possession of an Electrical Supervisor License is a strong plus or a requirement for site work (as per statutory norms).

Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and robust communication abilities for site supervision.
