The candidate will be responsible for financial oversight and analysis within the supply chain function of an organization. It involves managing financial aspects such as budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to supply chain operations. Responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and providing insights into the company's financial performance.


  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and reporting within the supply chain.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the SCM function.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support SCM decision-making.
  • Influence and support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and implement cost conduct strategies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop dashboards and management reporting tools.
  • Support long-term strategic planning efforts within the SCM function.
  • Participate in Cross-cultural projects and initiatives.
  • Identify and assess financial risks within the supply chain.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement with finance team.


CORE COMPETENCIES:

1.Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the SCM function.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support SCM decision-making.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

  • savings and efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement cost control strategies.

4. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and
  • key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on SCM financial
  • performance.
  • Develop dashboards and management reporting tools.

5. Strategic Planning:

  • Support long-term strategic planning efforts within the SCM function.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and capital projects from a financial
  • perspective.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.

6. Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess financial risks within the supply chain.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

7. Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the
  • efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Leverage technology to automate and streamline financial processes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.


OTHER TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR EXPERTISE:

  • Proficiency in financial analysis techniques, including ratio analysis, cost-volume-profit analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, used for financial management and supply chain integration.
  • Ability to Analyze supply chain data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
