Job Title: Lead Senior FPGA Engineer
Responsibilities:
· Prototype next generation SoC designs into quality FPGA builds for software development, performance analysis and application validation.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, review specifications, and debug challenging issues.
· Communicate technical challenges, obstacles, and implementation details to program management.
· Create and maintain internal technical and methodology documents and external release notes for customers.
· Establish automated processes for efficiently creating FPGA designs across board types.
· Define and maintain project schedules while ensuring metrics-driven design quality.
Requirements:
· B.S or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Master’s preferred
· Strong background in digital design and HDLs such as Verilog, SystemVerilog
· 5+ years of experience in taking complex designs from RTL to FPGA bitstreams
· Experience with FPGA design tools – Vivado – and backend flows – Synthesis, P&R, timing closure
· Knowledge of AMBA AHB/AXI/APB bus protocols.
· Working knowledge of Assembly, C, and C++ languages and use in embedded systems.
· Ability to test and qualify FPGA images before delivering to customers
· Familiarity with I/O protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART
· Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with others.
· Background in automating processes and scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl)
