THE ROLE:

Your Gig: Do you have it in you to be our DevOps Alchemist?


The DevOps Engineer position, specifically with expertise in design, administration, high availability, operational support, and automation experience will join a growing and high-energy team supporting internal products and platforms. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for providing the highest technical expertise for the engineering, planning, design, implementation, upgrade, patching, capacity planning, automation, and day-to-day operations for the various distributed systems (Postgres, Mongo, MySQL, ES, Redis, Kafka, airflow) that we offer. This role will also provide oversight, mentoring, and leadership opportunities. The successful candidate must be comfortable working on multiple dynamic projects simultaneously, collaborating with application teams and leadership at all levels of the organization.



Your Mission, Should You Choose to Apply:


Develop automation scripts and tools for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and backup/recovery of applications using infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.

Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems for applications performance metrics

️Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies for applications to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of failures

Work closely with the QA team to ensure the quality of applicationsMaintain version-controlled configurations for servers, ensuring consistency and repeatability across environments via IaC

⌨️Automate routine tasks such as database backups, schema migrations, and data archiving to improve operational efficiency

️Develop high availability and replication solutions to meet the requirements of critical applications.

⚓Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to ensure 24/7 availability and timely response to critical incidents



You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:


⚓ 3+ years Experience as a DevOps Engineer

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)

⚙️ Proficiency in scripting languages such as Go, Shell, and Ruby for automation tasks

Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for provisioning and managing database resources

In-depth knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc., including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting

⚙️Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and tools

️Experience with disaster recovery strategies (including hands-on backup and recovery experience)

Experience in configuration management tools (eg: ansible) for patching and maintenance automation
