Role Description

We are looking for a
Senior
Cost Estimator
with expertise in the
lighting sector
to prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, tenders, and client requirements. The role involves analyzing project drawings, specifications, and requirements to provide competitive and profitable estimates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze drawings, designs, and technical documents for lighting projects.
  • Prepare accurate
    material, labor, and overhead cost estimates
    .
  • Coordinate with the design, procurement, and production teams to gather cost data.
  • Conduct
    quantity take-offs (QTOs)
    for lighting fixtures, accessories, and components.
  • Develop
    BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
    and cost sheets for tenders and client submissions.
  • Benchmark pricing based on market trends, vendor quotes, and historical data.
  • Support the sales team by preparing
    costing proposals, quotations, and bid documents
    .
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in estimation.
  • Recommend cost-saving measures and assist in value engineering for projects.

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience in Cost Management and Cost Control
  • Experience in the lighting industry or similar field
  • Proficiency in Project Estimation and Budgeting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
