Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Overview: The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role involves gathering requirements, analyzing complex datasets, building dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and strategy across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support business goals and KPIs. Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView . Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities and performance improvements. Translate business needs into technical requirements for data models and reporting systems. Design and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Conduct trend, variance, and predictive analyses to support strategic planning. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across systems. Provide ad-hoc analysis and support decision-making for senior management. Automate recurring reports and optimize data pipelines for efficiency. Stay updated on BI trends, technologies, and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field . Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik). Strong command of SQL and familiarity with data warehousing concepts (ETL, OLAP, etc.) . Solid understanding of Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA) . Experience with data visualization, storytelling, and dashboard design . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Python/R for data analysis and automation. Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, Snowflake). Familiarity with business processes in domains like finance, sales, marketing, or operations. Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Tableau Desktop Specialist .
