Your role :As a Windows Administrator at CSC, you'll be responsible for administering, optimizing, and maintaining Windows servers, Active Directory, and related services. Your expertise in Windows administration, Active Directory, and ITIL practices will be essential in providing tailored solutions to meet the needs of our business units and ensuring uninterrupted services.

Some of the things you’ll be doingAdministering, optimizing, and maintaining Windows Server infrastructure (2019 and 2022), Active Directory, and related services (Kerberos, ldaps, dfs) in a multi-domain environment.Conducting regular performance assessments, maintenance, and updates of Windows systems to ensure operational stability.Implementing Microsoft group policy objects, managing file share permissions, and adhering to security best practices.Managing hypervisor environments for virtual machines, proficient in Windows Server OS.Collaborating within a team to support MECM/SCCM infrastructure, including upgrades and troubleshooting.Demonstrating cloud expertise with Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS.Utilizing PowerShell for scripting tasks.Supporting physical and virtual servers, including HP bare metal support and hypervisor experience with Nutanix AHV or VMware vSphere ESX.Developing server build runbooks and conducting deployments using MECM, Ansible, or Terraform.Automating infrastructure processes with Ansible, including workflow orchestration, server builds, and cloud component configurations.Ensuring disaster recovery and business continuity strategies are in place.Managing tickets and changes through ServiceNow or similar systems.Utilizing GitHub for source code management and version control.Demonstrating proficiency in common Windows services such as DFS and clustering (for SQL and File Servers).Understanding network IP subnets and classes.Working knowledge of Entra SSO (Azure AD) and on-premise AD for user account and group management.Responding to and resolving Windows-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted services.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 9 years of proven experience in Windows administration, Active Directory management, and implementing ITIL practices within a mid to large global environment (3000+ servers) across multi-site/datacenter infrastructure.Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Azure Portal, ITIL certifications, or equivalent industry-related certifications are advantageous.Proven work experience as a Windows Server support engineer or support technician.Proficiency in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and EntraID/SSO.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Effective communication skills to interact with multiple teams regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and to address associated problems, issues, or conflicts.Experience in configuring and managing Windows operating systems, installing and loading operating system software, troubleshooting network components, and implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Proficiency in troubleshooting higher-level problems and resolving complex technical issues, even in the absence of documentation.Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Az109.
