About the Role: Commencing in January 2026, this newly created permanent Grade 4 Building Services Officer position offers the chance to join our College during an exciting period of growth. Working 30 hours per week , you will support the Facilities Manager with oversight of Building Services contracts and service agreements, while assisting the Grounds and Maintenance team in daily operations. Key Responsibilities include: Maintain and monitor Building Services Contracts, e.g. Cleaning, Waste, HVAC, Security, Fleet In conjunction with the Risk & Compliance team, administer and implement Planned Maintenance programs, e.g. Painting, Roof Safety, Arborist Liaise as required with property and grounds contract staff. Support the Facilities Manager in the scope and tender of minor works and small capital projects. Maintain asset registers and ensure lifecycle tracking for plant and equipment. Support the budgeting and capital planning process and work closely with the Procurement and Accounts Payable Officer. Use Facility Management software to schedule and track maintenance activities. Conduct regular contractor reviews and compliance checks. Coordinate with Risk and Compliance Officer for risk assessments. Liaise with stakeholders for project planning and execution. Assist with managing contractor relationships, including site access Administer the Facility Hire function, including documentation and bookings for special events Essential Requirements: Relevant qualification in a property related field or equivalent experience. Relevant experience in Property management and maintenance. Relevant experience in Contract management Demonstrated knowledge of Property Management principles and building maintenance practices. Working knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian standards. Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislative standards. Possess an additional appropriate academic qualification relevant to the role; Support and nurture the College’s Catholic ethos and Ignatian charism; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Collaborative approach with staff members, students and parents; High levels of confidentiality. Flexible and adaptable in approach to work practices and management strategies Efficient organisational skills and initiative. Work well in a team.
