We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and improvement of packaging machinery. The candidate will be responsible for creating innovative designs, preparing detailed drawings, and supporting the manufacturing process of high-performance packaging machines.

Role & responsibilities

  • Design and develop primary & secondary packaging machines (filling machines, case packers, end-line packaging equipment).
  • Prepare 2D/3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and BOMs.
  • Work on concept development, prototyping, and product modifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and service teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support installation, testing, and troubleshooting of machines when required.
  • Research and implement new technologies, materials, and design methods to improve efficiency.
  • Document design calculations, revisions, and engineering change notes.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design, sheet metal, fabrication, and machine assembly.
  • Hands-on experience with packaging automation systems.
  • Good understanding of motion mechanisms, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
