Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced MEP Head to oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for High-Rise Buidings and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate should have 15 to 20 years of experience managing MEP design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning in large-scale high-rise construction projects. The role requires a strategic thinker with technical depth, project management capabilities, and leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure MEP systems are delivered to international standards, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all MEP planning, design coordination, execution, and commissioning activities across high-rise projects.
  • Collaborate with architectural, structural, civil, and finishing teams to ensure smooth integration of MEP services.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors for timely approvals, procurement, and execution.
  • Review and validate MEP drawings, BOQs, technical submittals, and shop drawings for design compliance.
  • Develop and monitor detailed MEP work schedules in alignment with the master project schedule.

  • Supervise the installation of all MEP systems including:

  • Electrical (HT/LT panels, DBs, cabling, lighting, power systems)

  • Mechanical (HVAC, ventilation, fire fighting systems)

  • Plumbing (water supply, drainage, STP/WTP systems)

  • Ensure all MEP installations are as per design, specifications, and local/national building codes.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and review progress to ensure quality and safety compliance.
  • Ensure proper sequencing of MEP works with civil and finishing activities, especially in Mivan or high-rise frameworks.
  • Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning of all MEP systems.
  • Ensure successful testing, snag rectification, documentation, and handover of MEP services.
  • Coordinate with facility management or client teams for MEP system demos and documentation transfer.

Team & Vendor Management:

  • Lead a team of MEP engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Manage and evaluate subcontractors and vendors for timely delivery and compliance.
  • Conduct technical review meetings and resolve on-site conflicts or design discrepancies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15 to 20 years of experience in MEP management for high-rise building projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of MEP design standards, installation techniques, and testing protocols.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, fire safety norms, green building certifications, and energy-efficient systems.
  • Strong experience in project planning tools like MS Project or Primavera.
  • Proficient in reviewing AutoCAD, Revit MEP drawings, and coordination models.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and decision-making capability under pressure.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Mivan or precast construction and its impact on MEP routing.
