We are seeking a skilled IT Executive with expertise in Audio-Visual (AV), Acoustic, and Smart Classroom technologies to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our AV systems, ensuring optimal acoustic conditions, and supporting the integration of technology in our smart classrooms. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the learning and communication experience within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- AV System Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, and video conferencing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV equipment promptly.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the longevity and functionality of AV systems.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for AV equipment procurement and upgrades.
- Acoustic Environment Optimization:
- Assess and improve acoustic conditions in classrooms and meeting spaces to ensure clear and high-quality audio.
- Implement soundproofing and acoustic treatments as necessary.
- Monitor and adjust audio settings for optimal sound quality during events and presentations.
- Smart Classroom Integration:
- Coordinate the setup and integration of smart classroom technologies, including interactive whiteboards, document cameras, educational software, etc.
- Train educators and staff on the effective use of smart classroom.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in the EdTech industry and recommend upgrades as needed.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to faculty, students, and staff during classes, meetings, and events.
- Respond to IT-related inquiries and assist users with AV and technology-related issues.
- Maintain an inventory of AV equipment and spare parts.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for AV and smart classroom systems.
- Generate regular reports on the performance and usage of AV equipment.
- Compliance and Security:
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations in the use of AV and smart classroom technology.
- Implement security measures to protect AV systems from unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, education, and facilities, to ensure the seamless integration of technology into the learning environment.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing AV systems, acoustic environments, and smart classroom technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting AV equipment, such as projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Strong knowledge of acoustic principles and audio equipment.
- Familiarity with smart classroom technologies and software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certification in AV technology or related fields is a plus.
- Experience in an educational institution is preferred.
