Structural Design Engineer

  • Design and analyze structural components and systems for buildings and other structures
  • Evaluate the strength, stability, and rigidity of structures using engineering principles and methods
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations
  • Understand project requirements and provide design approach accordingly, all projects are different.
  • Perform risk assessments and propose solutions to mitigate potential structural failures
  • Generate calculation packages
  • Prepare specifications & reports for construction projects
  • Collaborate with teams and engineers to develop structural designs
  • Manage team and get required drawings produced
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractor and other stake holder via calls, emails
  • Attend project meetings and be an active part of the same when required

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with advanced structural analysis software and tools
  • Minimum 3-5 yrs of proven experience in managing USA based projects
  • Should be able to communicate (verbal & written) with stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of structural analysis and design principles
  • Understanding of construction processes and material
