JobResponsibilities: To contribute to the development of thedivisional Buying and Merchandising strategy and to work withinthis strategy at all times.
Keeping a track ofCompetitors activities through market research activities to trackunderstand trends forecasting in terms of color fabricetc
Product presentation packaging and Productdevelopment and develop promotional plans
Review andadjust the season plans and weekly plans
Productpresentation packaging and Product development and developpromotional plans
Vendor identification anddevelopment
Obtaining Range merchandise after effectivenegotiation
To work with Marketing and Design to developVisual Merchandising promotions in line with theme and productlaunches
Ensures timely delivery of samples byvendors
Setting of standards for quality of merchandisewith QA
Reconcile to store plans and fix departmentalfinancial plans
To assist Buyer with budget and margintargets fashion range planning and building
Maximizingcurrent sourcing channels and identifying newopportunities
Supporting negotiations and working withsupply base to ensure that best costs and margins areachieved
Working closely with Merchandising; managementof stock style options quantities promotions andmarkdowns.
To conduct the annual review of supplierperformance with QA and Buyer.
To pursue and recover allmoney due from vendors as a result of performance penalties ormarkdown and promotional contributions.
To regularlyupdate the frontend on key productbenefits
