Job Title: Automation Architect

Position Overview: We're seeking an experienced Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of automation solutions across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation, proficient in scripting languages like Python, and adept at infrastructure automation with Ansible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of automation strategies, frameworks, and best practices to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, technical objectives, and automation needs, crafting comprehensive solutions to address them.
  • Design scalable, modular, and reusable automation architectures supporting the automation of various processes, workflows, and systems.
  • Develop scripts, templates, and tools for automation using Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend automation tools, technologies, and platforms based on business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Define standards, guidelines, and governance mechanisms for automation development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to automation engineers and cross-functional teams throughout the automation lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and operations teams to integrate automation solutions with existing systems and tools.
  • Stay current with emerging automation technologies, tools, and best practices, sharing knowledge with the team through training and presentations. Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Automation Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python.
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture, cloud computing concepts, and deployment pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering practical, scalable automation solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Ansible Automation).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
  • Previous experience in the (industry/sector) sector or related industries.
